For the fourth installment of CryptoUK’s Lunch & Learn sessions, we have been working with our members, Cripps LLP to look at opportunities, potential use cases and risk associated with the convergence of AI and crypto and have developed a plan of activity to inform, educate and upskill policymakers and regulators.
The first stage in this plan was a webinar to CryptoUK members to raise awareness of the objectives of this work and provide background and context on the current environment in relation to AI and crypto. Following this webinar, we will be reaching out to our members to establish some small and focused working groups to begin drafting a whitepaper to distribute to the UK regulators and wider crypto industry eco-system.
This lunch and learn session covered:
- Overview on the current AI landscape
- Best practice and implementation use cases across other industries and sectors
- Awareness of current and potential use cases for AI in the crypto sector
- Positioning of the complimentary aspects of frontier technologies and how this intersects with the UK Governments interests in AI progression and implementation

- James Dracott – Deputy Director AI & Data, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRITBC)
